The filter is tested to NSF standards and contains 3 types of filtering media:
- Granular Activated Carbon:
Made from coconut shells and highly effective at absorbing impurities
- KDF-55 (Kinetic Degradation Fluxion):
A formulation of copper and zinc that chemically reduces contaminants in the water
- Calcium Sulfite: Reacts with the chlorine in the water to achieve de-chlorination at up to 99% effectiveness
