This is Now Foods lactose additive powder or milk sugar. It is derived from whey, and like whey, it is useful in assisting in the growth of beneficial bacteria such as Lactobacillus acidophilus in the G.I. tract. Included in our Nourishing Traditions baby formulas, this Now Foods lactose powder for sale is an essential addition to cow's milk, as mother's milk is richer in lactose than cow's milk.
Lactose is about 20% as sweet as sugar and is a great milk additive for children. It is an easily dissolving powder.
