Frontier Co-op® Organic Beet Powder (Botanical name: Beta vulgaris) is a versatile ingredient made from the red, fleshy portion of the root of the beet plant. There are no artificial additives or chemicals used at any step of the growing process.
Beet powder is a great food additive. It’s also good for coloring foods. It’s excellent in smoothies and other dishes, and provides a deep red color. This product is paleo- and vegan-friendly.
Made of dehydrated beets, a little beet powder goes a long way. One pound is the equivalent of about ten pounds of regular beets!

Mix into smoothies, applesauce and tomato sauce. Use for coloring in red velvet cupcakes. One pound of beet powder re-hydrates to 5 lbs., which is equivalent to 8-9 lbs. of fresh, unprepared beets. Use approximately 1/3 cup water to re-hydrate 2 Tablespoons of product. Re-hydration is virtually instantaneous in hot or boiling water.
