Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What is Fatworks Premium Grass Fed Beef Tallow best for?
A. Pies, fries, eggs, chili, stews. Great for baking, sautés or deep frying. Tallow is really as versatile as you make it. You can also make great lotions and soap with tallow.
Q. Are there any artificial trans fats in the tallow or anything added to your fats?
A. No, artificial trans fats are not traditional fats in anyway. None of the raw fat that is render is processed, smoked, hydrogenated or otherwise altered in anyway.
Q. Is the tallow Certified Organic?
A. No but the small farmers use beyond organic practices.
Q. What is the shelf life of the tallow?
A. Tallow is naturally shelf stable for years. We recommend keeping the tallow in the pantry. You can keep in your refrigerator but it will turn very solid, requiring you to run under warm water to soften before use. Once it is slightly melted it will be "spoonable" and ready for you to enjoy. You can freeze the fat for long term storage if desired.
