Item Number:

Cole's Smoked Mussels in Olive Oil.

Mussels have been used as a food source for more than 20,000 years. As a time-tested food, they are packed with nutrition and offer many health benefits. Mussels have more omega-3 fatty acids than any other shellfish. They contain vitamin B12 and bioavailable forms of other nutrients including vitamin C, amino acids and minerals like selenium, phosphorous and zinc. The natural iron and folate content of mussels even rivals that of red meat. Best of all, mussels taste delicious too!

Cole's packaged mussels originate from the northern part of Portugal near Galicia where generations of fishermen have been harvesting these delicious morsels. They bring you finely smoked mussels in olive oil and suggest that you consume them with your favorite sourdough bread or gluten-free crackers.

  • Try stuffing into a cherry tomato

    Nov 10th 2016 | By Vicki

In the 60's, my mother sliced half way through cherry tomatoes and put a smoked mussel inside. Fast forward to these delicious mussels and good ripe grape or cherry tomatoes and this simple appetizer is new again. Gluten free, rich in Omega-3's and micronutrients, the best thing is that they are delicious.
